The Lexington Visitor Center has a page on its website showing some sample rides through the area at lexingtonvirginia.com/articles/rockbridge-rides. From Staunton to Natural Bridge on Rt. 11 is a great ride, with beautiful scenery and much less traffic than I-81. Rt. 39 from Lexington through Goshen Pass to the town of Goshen is a great ride, too, but watch the curves. Tt.252, which you can pick up by going out Rt.39, takes you through the villages of Brownsburg, Newport and Middlebrook and on to Staunton. And of course, there's the Blue Ridge Parkway, which can be accessed from RT. 60 east of Buena Vista or by taking Rt. 501 south toward Lynchburg.
